Quantity Surveyor

Location: Folkstone

Starting Basic Salary: Up to £55k

Hours: Monday-Friday 45 Hours Per Week

Job Type: Permanent Position

Our client is looking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They are seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to support our continued growth as a company and also to bolster the experience and knowledge within their existing commercial team. They are looking for a candidate that is able to estimate and put together project bids together with the financial management of on-going projects from commencement to completion. Project values vary from £5,000 - £1m.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor: 

You will be comfortable attending site and Teams meetings with clients
Undertaking site surveys and valuations
Completing take-offs from drawings
Producing interim and final account applications for payment
Producing and reporting on monthly CVR's
Handing over contracts to our delivery teams on the make-up of tenders to enable them to manage and enhance the commercial and operational elements of a project
About our ideal candidate:

You have excellent commercial acumen
You have a proven track record in commercial or quantity surveying - 5+ years' experience minimum
You have the ability to quickly and correctly understand scopes of work and project requirements
You are proactive and have excellent time management skills
You are comfortable working alone or as part of a team as required
You remain calm and calculated under pressure
You are an excellent communicator
Excellent practical knowledge of common IT packages, mainly Excel, MS Word, and use of email
Full and clean driving licence
Experience in Railway sector preferred
